Manual tensioners typically require manual operation to accomplish the task of securing cargo, whereas automatic tensioners are capable of performing the tightening process automatically. When using tensioners, it is necessary to comply with road transport standards and relevant regulations to ensure the safe transport of cargo.
Both domestic and international road transport standards impose strict requirements regarding the use of tensioners. For instance, China's Technical Conditions for Road Freight Vehicles stipulates that cargo must be secured using appropriate securing devices, and that these devices must comply with applicable national or industry standards. Conversely, the U.S. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) mandates that tensioners utilized during transport must adhere to the standards established by the U.S. Department of Transportation and must undergo FMCSA certification.
